Residing in Southeastern Michigan just outside Detroit, Thelmer has been working as a Graphic Artist professionally for over 17 years.

Sculpture has figured more prominently since 2008, when a line of sculptures known as "Mechas" debuted. Since then, interest in works from this line have grown.
